Congratulations to two time world champion Helen Jenkins who has been recognised for her outstanding performance this season at the British Triathlon Annual Awards, being named British Olympic Athlete of the Year alongside male world champion Alistair Brownlee. The prestigious award rounds off an exceptional season for Helen who finished the year winning her second World Champion title in Beijing in September – earning Jenkins a place at the London 2012 Olympics. Jenkins also won the Female Elite Triathlete of the Year award. Upon receiving both awards, Helen commented: “I think it’s the third year in a row and it’s so nice that people keep voting for me.” “It’s great to be in a sport that is growing so much. It’s an honour to be in such an amazing team, there are so many people doing well at the moment, it’s amazing to be part of the sport at this time.” This is another fantastic achievement from Udo’s sponsored Helen Jenkins, who's hard work and dedication has certainly paid off this year and we wish Helen all the best with her aim for Olympic Gold next year.
