Udo's Choice Triathlon Series
Udo's Choice have once again joined forces with Freebird Events as the official race sponsor of their series of triathlons being held this year. Paul Mathieson, Company Director of Freebird Events said "We are very excited to be working with Udo's Choice again in what is becoming an increasingly popular series across Yorkshire and Humberside. It is great to be able to raise awareness of the collective health and sporting benefits of a product such as Udo's Choice Ultimate Oil Blend and encourage people to participate in a high quality, well organised triathlon".
The series of five events are based in the Yorkshire and Humberside area and offer competitors of all abilities the opportunity to participate in a high quality, fun atmosphere. It doesn't matter if you have never taken part in a triathlon before, all of the venues cater very well for both the novice and experienced competitor.
The five events are as follows:
- Skipton - 15 April 2012 (pool swim)
- Driffield - 20 May 2012 (pool swim)
- Allerthorpe Sprint Tri, near York - 17 June 2012 (lake swim)
- Allerthorpe Classic Tri, near York - 19 August 2012 (lake swim)
- Beverley - 19 August 2012 (pool swim)
On top of the individual race prizes, points are awarded to the top 50 finishers in each race plus there is a points system for the Tri clubs that take part. At the end of the season we crown the overall Series Champion and the best Tri Club of the series. See below for how points are awarded.

The Points system:
Individual League table (both male and female)
Points are awarded to the first 49 finishers in each event. 50 points for 1st place, 48 points for 2nd, 47 points for 3rd, and so on, down to 1 point for 49th place.
Competitors also score 5 bonus points for each event entered
The leaders of the race series after the final event will be declared the Udo's Choice Race Series Champions for 2012
Club League table (can be made up of both male and female competitors. A scoring club must comprise of 4 competitors. The first 4 finishers from each club to count)
Points are awarded to the first 9 teams in each event. 10 points for 1st place, 8 points for 2nd, 7 points for 3rd, and so on, down to 1 point for 9th place.
Scoring clubs also score 2 bonus points for each event entered.
The leaders of the race series after the final event will be declared the Udo's Choice Race Series Champions for 2012
