Congratulations once again to Udo's Choice ambassador, Britain's Helen Jenkins who finished 2nd at this weekends Kitzbuhel leg of the ITU Triathlon World Championship Series - her second 2nd place finish in consecutive races behind Canada's Paula Findlay. Findlay finished just 4 seconds ahead of Helen who is showing incredible consistency and speed after injury set her back in her first two races of the season.
After a good swim and cycle section Jenkins was always at the front of the pack on the run, and slowly ground down the field until it was just herself and Paula Findlay left to fight for the win.
Helen said “I am happy with second. After Madrid, I knew I wasn’t going to beat her (Findlay) over the last 400 metres so over the last 2.5 kilometres I was just really trying to push on and break her, and I could see she was suffering, but she was strong at the end and in the last few hundred metres I just couldn’t catch her,” Jenkins said.
There is a month's break now until the next race in the series in Hamburg on the weekend of 16-17 July followed by London on 6-7 August in Hyde Park.
