Now in its sixth year the Tour of the Black Mountains is firmly established as one of the leading events in the British cyclosportive calendar. The sportive features a number of ride distances to suit most levels of fitness and ability - from the challenging 63 mile to the very hard 120 mile route.
The Tour of the Black Mountains & Iron Mountain Sportive, team up as part of the Abergavenny Festival of Cycling taking place on 14th and 15th July. These two awesome sportives are being combined into a two stage event. Both routes have received accolades for the superb scenery and challenging routes.
In 2008 the Black mountains route was used as the last training ride by Sharon Laws before she departed for the Beijing Olympics. And in 2010 representatives from Endura Racing and Rapha all took part as part of their build up to the Tour of Britain.
So if you want a ride which leaves you feeling that you have taken part in a uniquely challenging and rewarding experience come and join us at the Abergavenny Festival of Cycling of which the Black Mountains is apart. As sponsors of this year’s event we will be there so look out for our bright orange marquee and come and say “Hi”.
